Ada M. Healey directs all real estate strategies for Vulcan Inc. She leads Vulcan’s redevelopment of 60 acres in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood and oversees the company’s additional real estate investment activities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Under her direction, the company has developed nine million square feet including 3,400 residential units, delivering an average of more than 500,000 square feet annually since 2004. Ada’s team also provides real estate services to Vulcan affiliates including the Allen Institute, Museum of Pop Culture, Seattle Seahawks and The Hospital Club, among others. Ada can be credited with Vulcan’s widespread industry recognition for its innovative development approaches and commitment to sustainability.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2001, Ada worked for nearly 10 years at ING Clarion in asset management, acquisitions and portfolio management. She’s also worked at NYNEX Properties (now Verizon Communications), Sedgwick Group and London and Metropolitan Reinsurance Company.

Education: BA from Duke University, MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Brandon Morgan oversees Vulcan’s residential development portfolio. He has managed the development and construction of more than 2,100 units including eight projects with LEED or Built Green certification. Brandon is the team’s sustainability expert, managing energy and water use benchmarking for Vulcan’s entire real estate investment portfolio. He is a LEED AP BD+C and was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Seattle 2030 District. Brandon is also a licensed Washington state real estate broker.

Previous experience: Brandon has more than 23 years of experience in residential development. Prior to joining Vulcan in 2004 he was a development manager at Simpson Housing where he oversaw the development of nearly 1,000 residential units throughout the Pacific Northwest. Brandon also served as a Development Associate at Trammel Crow Residential in Seattle. He started his career at JPI in Texas, later moving to the company’s Seattle office.

Education: BBA in Finance and Real Estate from Southern Methodist University

Charlie Laboda leads the construction management team for Vulcan’s multifamily residential projects. He provides oversite on the residential portfolio and has managed numerous complex development projects for Vulcan Real Estate including Batik and Jackson Apartments.

Previous experience: Charlie has over 25 years of Development and Construction Management experience in Seattle. Prior to joining Vulcan, Charlie worked as a Development Manager for Investco/Tarragon LLC, and Harbor Properties.

Education: BS in Construction Management from University of Washington

Geralyn Vannoy executes the commercial leasing strategy for Vulcan Real Estate’s investment portfolio. Her deep experience has resulted in the successful marketing of Vulcan assets and leases for Vulcan affiliates. She also serves as asset manager for select Vulcan properties.

Previous experience: Geralyn has over 20 years of experience in office and retail leasing. Prior to joining Vulcan in 2007, she held positions at Harbor Properties, The Staubach Company and Wright Runstad & Company. She has also represented landlords such as Equity Office Properties, Bank of America, and Archon Group and tenants such as Morgan Stanley, Washington Mutual, and First Data Corporation.

Education: BA from University of Washington

Jacqueline Gruber manages Vulcan’s public policy portfolio, working closely with diverse stakeholder groups to create vibrant and more equitable communities through land use and transportation policy. 

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan, Jacqueline worked for the Downtown Seattle Association in public policy and planning on behalf of downtown property owners, businesses, residents, and non-profit organizations. She has also worked in land use planning in private practice and in the public sector, starting her career at the City of Portland, Oregon.

Education: MURP from Portland State University, American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) 
 

Jim Broadlick leads project teams for Vulcan’s development of office, life sciences, residential and mixed-use projects. Jim is responsible for developing and maintaining Vulcan’s relationship with the general contractor industry. Through the management of Vulcan’s construction projects, Jim has been instrumental in creating millions of square feet of high-performing quality assets. Jim also manages construction for Vulcan affiliates including the Allen Institute, Cinerama, Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum, Living Computers Museum+Labs, Museum of Pop Culture and The Hospital Club.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2008, Jim served as an engineering project manager for Amgen and a project executive for Skanska USA. 

Education: BA from Warren Wilson College, Secondary Teaching Credential at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis

With more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, Lori Mason Curran leads the formulation of investment strategy for Vulcan's real estate portfolio. She has an extensive background in the valuation of commercial real estate, and her ongoing market research is used to inform acquisition, disposition and overall investment decisions.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2002, Lori worked as a commercial real estate appraiser. She received her MAI designation in 1998 and is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate, as well as a LEED AP (accredited professional). She is a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Washington Center for Real Estate Research at Washington State University’s College of Business and Economics.

Education: BA from Vassar College, MA from New York University

Maria Mackey manages Vulcan’s portfolio of corporate real estate and leads Vulcan’s financing negotiations on its real estate investments. In her role, Mackey has established relationships with more than 27 different lenders including life insurance companies, banks and pension funds. She has secured more than $3.5 billion in financing across a variety of real estate and construction loan programs.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2003, Maria served as CFO at Berg Holdings, a San Francisco Bay Area developer/investor with holdings nationwide. Her industry experience also includes four years as Principal of Mackey & Company, a commercial real estate finance company in Seattle. Previously, Maria spent 14 years as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate both for Pacific First Federal (now Chase) and Seafirst Mortgage Corporation (now Bank of America).

Education: BA from Willamette University

Megan Murphy leads marketing and leasing for Vulcan's multi-family portfolio. She specializes in identifying key markets, residential product development, and leading the marketing and leasing through stabilization. She has more than 20 years of experience in residential and lifestyle marketing and has led the marketing, planning, and leasing of more than 5,000 multi-family units in downtown Seattle.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2005, Megan was the marketing director for Harbor Properties.

Education: BA in Communications from the University of Washington

Murray oversees Vulcan’s commercial development activities by managing the feasibility, planning, and delivery of Vulcan’s office projects. Murray played a key role in Vulcan’s recent entry into the Bellevue office market, including by commencing two million SF of build-to-suit office space for Amazon.    

Previous experience: Murray has over 20 years of real estate development and construction experience. Prior to joining Vulcan, Murray worked for Lendlease in Australia, where he held senior positions on some of Australia’s largest urban regeneration projects.  

Education: Master of Property and Development, University of New South Wales, Australia.
 

With over 24 years of Development, Owner’s Rep, and Construction Management experience, Raymond Burdick has managed a multitude of complex development projects for Vulcan Real Estate. Tenants for these projects have included Vulcan corporate entities, Bothell City, UW Medicine, Amazon, and Google.  
 
Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan, Raymond worked as a Project Manager for Skanska and Turner, as well as an Owner Rep for Cockram Construction.
 
Education: BS from University of Minnesota

Robert Arron spearheads all leasing and marketing efforts for Vulcan’s real estate development projects. He has negotiated five million square feet of commercial leases for the company. Arron serves as Vulcan's liaison with the brokerage community and also manages relationships with prospective tenants. He has more than 25 years of experience leading leasing, listing brokerage, asset management and acquisition and disposition teams.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2004, Robert served as Vice President with Kearny Real Estate Company (an operating partner of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund) in Los Angeles. Robert has also served as a Project Director with Spieker Properties in Los Angeles and as a Senior Property Manager with Trammell Crow Company in Seattle. He was also General Manager of the Bank of America Tower for the Norman Company.

Education: BA from Occidental College, MBA from the University of Southern California

Scott Matthews directs Vulcan’s residential and mixed-use projects and leads the strategic acquisition efforts for Vulcan’s real estate portfolio. Scott plays a key role in the master planning and strategic direction of Vulcan’s real estate investment activities in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, and the company’s expansion into other local submarkets including Yesler, the Central Area and the Bellevue CBD.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2002, Scott served as Vice President and Area Partner at JPI in Seattle. He has held positions including Regional Manager, Development Associate, City Partner and Division Partner for the Pacific Northwest at Trammell Crow Residential. Matthews got his start as a Project Manager with Delco Group and later as a broker with Marcus & Millichap, both in Seattle.

Education: BS from the University of Missouri at Columbia

Steve Hissong is responsible for managing Vulcan’s office, retail and apartment assets including marketing and leasing, operations and dispositions. Steve led Vulcan’s disposition efforts for the $1.15 billion Amazon Headquarters, which was the largest real estate transaction in the U.S. in 2012.

Previous experience: Steve has 21 years of experience in the investment, management, design and engineering of commercial real estate. Prior to joining Vulcan in 2009, Steve worked at Metzler North America where he served multiple roles in acquisitions and asset management of office, retail, industrial and apartment properties. Steve started his career working as a civil and structural engineer for Rust Environment & Infrastructure (now EarthTech) and Haynes Whaley Associates Structural Engineers. He also earned his Professional Engineer license.

Education: BS in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, MBA from the University of Washington

Steve Van Til leads Vulcan's real estate asset management group, which manages a multi-billion-dollar portfolio that has included office, biotechnology, retail, residential, hotel and industrial property types. Steve is responsible for all aspects of portfolio management including acquisitions, dispositions, debt financing, investment strategy and performance, marketing and leasing, operational oversight and capital projects.

Previous experience: Prior to joining Vulcan in 2003, Steve was Senior Vice President of Asset Management for ING-Clarion Partners in Seattle. He spent four years with Equitable Real Estate Investment Management in San Francisco where he was named Director of Retail Asset Management. Van Til got his start as a Project Engineer and Project Manager with Tudor Engineering Company.
